The Book Salmagundi Chapter 1

A town called Garpen Flat has 2 factories with smoke coming out of them. The towns name was on the map and so was the railway station but because of all the thick brown smoke nobody could actually see the town. The people in Garpen Flat never saw the sun. Everyday on their way to work they all had red eyes and pale skin. The children of Garpen Flat were as pale as a ghost. The mayor Major Brassblow and Doctor Foster were both rich and they were enimes.
